What causes scoliosis?
Scoliosis is divided into idiopathic, congenital, neuromuscular, degenerative, and comprehensive types. Idiopathic scoliosis is the most common type, accounting for about 70-80% of patients, mostly seen in the youth. Idiopathic scoliosis, in particular, could be related to genetics, bones, muscles, nerves, hormones, and posture. But currently, the main reason is still unclear.
