Professor Junlin Yang and Doctor Zifang Huang has Participated in Compiling The Guidelines for Prevention and Control of Abnormal Spinal Curvature in Children and Adolescents.

 

In order to strengthen the prevention and control of abnormal spinal curvature in children and adolescents, the Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention of the National Health Commission organized and compiled The Guidelines for Prevention and Control of Abnormal Spinal Curvature in Children and Adolescents on November 1st,2021. The aim is to guide and scientifically carry out epidemiological investigation, screening, prevention and control of abnormal spinal curvature in children and adolescents.

 

As the leader of the Pediatric Spine Group of the Orthopedic Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and member of Spinal Disease Prevention and Control Committee of Chinese Preventive Medical Association, Professor Yang deeply involved in compiling the Guidelines with Doctor Huang, as chief expert of X-in Miao Scoliosis Prevention Center, and member of the Pediatric Spine Group of the Orthopedic Branch of the Chinese Medical Association.

The Guidelines describes the screening, prevention and control of abnormal spinal curvature in children and adolescents in detail in China.

 

The Guidelines clarifies the basic concepts and classification of abnormal spinal curvature, and formulates detailed comprehensive prevention and control measures, such as conducting regular screening of abnormal spinal curvature in students and establishing health records for the screening results, creating scientific and standardized intervention and correction techniques and carry out precise management and scientific correction for children and adolescents who are diagnosed abnormal spinal curvature or other bad posture problems.

 

The Guidelines comprehensively protect the spine health of children and adolescents from the aspects of the popularization of spinal knowledge, the cultivation of healthy learning and living habits, and the establishment of good environment.
